TheoryXP Accessibility

TheoryXP aims to make its iOS driving-theory revision experience usable by disabled learners and by people who use Apple accessibility features.

How TheoryXP is designed

TheoryXP uses native iOS accessibility support where practical. The production release should be tested for common tasks including onboarding/sign-in, Practice, answer feedback, Mock Tests, Road Signs, Study Plan, Settings, Export My Data and Delete Account.

The release process includes checks for:

• VoiceOver labels, values, traits and focus order;
• Voice Control naming and activation;
• Dynamic Type / larger text;
• minimum practical touch-target sizes;
• sufficient text and control contrast;
• states that are not communicated by colour alone;
• Reduce Motion;
• Differentiate Without Color;
• Increase Contrast;
• focus behaviour in sheets and alerts;
• form/error messaging; and
• accessibility of image-based questions and learning media where the licensed/source material permits an equivalent description.

System settings

TheoryXP does not create a separate “VoiceOver mode.” It should respond to supported iOS accessibility settings instead.

Current limitations and claims

TheoryXP will only claim an App Store accessibility feature when the release candidate has been tested and the app’s common tasks genuinely support that feature. A feature must not be claimed merely because iOS offers it at operating-system level.

If the V1 release remains intentionally light-only, TheoryXP will not claim Dark Interface support until a real dark theme has been designed and tested.

If an accessibility issue prevents you from using TheoryXP, email support@theoryxp.app. Please tell us the screen or task affected and, if relevant, the iOS accessibility feature you were using. Do not send passwords or one-time codes.

We will consider accessibility issues and reasonable adjustments in line with applicable law and the practical constraints of the service.
