TheoryXP Licences & Acknowledgements

TheoryXP is an independent revision product. It is not an official Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency (DVSA) or Driver & Vehicle Agency (DVA) app and is not endorsed or approved by either agency.

DVSA Crown copyright material

TheoryXP uses DVSA revision material under a Crown copyright royalties licence.

The Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency (DVSA) has given permission for the reproduction of Crown copyright material. DVSA is not responsible for the accuracy of the reproduction.

DVSA’s published licensing guidance says the knowledge-and-understanding text supplied with each revision question must be included with every question in the product. The same guidance says a licensed product must not imply or suggest that it is recommended, endorsed or approved by DVSA. TheoryXP applies that non-endorsement rule across the product, including TheoryXP-created features such as Topic Performance, Study Plan and Recovery Scanner; those features are TheoryXP features, not DVSA-approved features. TheoryXP also does not claim endorsement by DVA.

Highway Code and traffic-sign material

Crown copyright Highway Code and traffic-sign material is reused only where the Open Government Licence permits it and subject to any source-specific conditions and third-party rights.

Contains public sector information licensed under the Open Government Licence v3.0.

Traffic-sign artwork should be reproduced accurately and without misleading alteration. Any third-party material not covered by the Open Government Licence must be separately cleared or excluded.

TheoryXP uses open-source software. The current locked Swift Package Manager resolution includes packages under the following licence families:

This pre-launch list reflects the current locked dependency resolution. Before App Store submission, TheoryXP will verify the exact frozen release archive and publish the licence, copyright and NOTICE material required for the components actually redistributed in the production app.

Apple

Apple platform frameworks and the App Store are subject to Apple’s applicable developer, distribution and end-user terms. Apple’s Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement applies to the app licence unless a custom EULA is expressly supplied through App Store Connect.

No endorsement

References to DVSA, DVA, GOV.UK, nidirect, Apple, Google, Supabase or other providers identify sources, licences or services. They do not imply sponsorship or endorsement of TheoryXP unless expressly stated by that organisation.
